CRC Writing & Publicity is led by Cornelius Richard Cavendish, supported by a network of associates. Educated in history at Oxford University and in business and organisation psychology at London University, he practised as a journalist from 1973 to 1985 with a break in 1977/78 to study for a Diploma in European Management. He has been Assistant Editor of International Management, Senior Writer at Engineering Today (covering professional, political and management issues), and a contributor to Management Today, The Economist, Training, and Coverdale Review the quarterly journal of the management consultancy, The Coverdale Organisation PLC. Other assignments have included undertaking a financial and organisational research project for ICI in France, market research for Hospital Corporation of America and report editing for Prudential Bache Securities.
Since 1985 he has been a writer, mentor, coach and consultant. Clients have included the Ashridge Business School, Henley Management College, The Design Council and BCR Publishing/The Stationery Office. In the 1987 General Election he was Political Assistant to Peter Temple-Morris MP, helping with research and speech-writing.
Since 2003 he has been an advisor at Oxfordshire Business Enterprises (Oxfordshires enterprise agency, dedicated to helping new businesses) and was an advisor at its principal predecessor Thames Business Advice Centre from 2001.
